Overcome Fear of the Unknown When Making A Career Change. Get the courage to make a career change and turn your life around.

When I quit my ‘safe’ job to start my real estate coaching business, I didn’t wait until I was free of fear. That’s because I realized that feeling would never go away. Instead, I used it to my advantage. I channeled it into laser-sharp focus to build my business into a six-figure earner. This is how you overcome those fears that hold you back.

1. Demystify The Fear

There’s the fear of going for it – of making a change. Fear of failure, fear of looking like a fool. Fear of the unknown, and of leaving behind a life you’ve invested so much in. And then there’s also the fear of not making the move. The fear of looking back on your life with regret. The fear of spending your life not just being in the wrong career, but having to live with the knowledge that you’re still there because you were too afraid to change it.

You are taking the steps to learn about fear. This helps you relax, as you find out that fear happens to everyone and is completely normal.

2. Reframe The Fear

Don’t view fear as a barrier. It is a vital motivator that gives you more energy and clarity, and warns you about major problems. It is not supposed to keep you stuck. Your fear is a tool for knowing what matters most. Fear arises when something important is at stake. Your fear is designed to take care of you. And it’s also a total goldmine when it comes to navigating your way through your career change.

3. Don’t Wait For Fear To Subside. You Are In Control!

The longer you wait, the harder it gets. Once I started, I realized that the fear doesn’t have to hold me back. I felt the fear, and did it anyway! Agency begins with what you let into your mind—meaning what comes in from your environment. If you are lacking agency, it’s likely your attention is being hijacked and you need to figure out how to restore it.
